Ian’s exposure to financial planning began in 2011 when, as a college student, he did part-time project work for The Nohner-Black Group. His interest in the field steadily grew over the years and, in 2014, after graduating from the University of Minnesota’s College of Biological Sciences, he decided to enter the profession.
In 2015, Ian enrolled in Boston University’s Financial Planning program, earning his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® designation. Upon completing his board exams, Ian decided to further his knowledge of financial planning by pursuing additional education in financial planning issues and strategies for young medical professionals.
Ian’s practice specializes in helping young medical professionals find tailored solutions to their student debt management and navigating the important financial decisions coming out of graduate school.
Ian is also passionate about travel and, with college and licensing behind him, has begun expanding the list of countries he has visited. He enjoys reading, biking, camping and cold Minnesota craft beer.
